SUERC & GES Research Synergies
A shared commitment to cutting-edge research and technological innovation underpins the partnership between the SUERC and the School of Geographical and Earth Sciences (GES), both members of the College Science and Engineering, University of Glasgow.
SUERC & MVLS Research Synergies
SUERC and MVLS combine strengths in biochemistry, health, and environmental science to tackle complex challenges at the interface of people and the planet. By integrating expertise across metabolism, disease, and environmental exposure, we are uncovering how factors like diet, pollution, and climate influence health—driving new solutions for a more resilient and healthy society.
SUERC and Thermo Fisher Scientific
SUERC is part of Thermo Scientific’s Technology Alliance Partnership (TAP) programme—an initiative that brings together leading research institutions and global technology providers to drive innovation at the forefront of analytical science. This strategic collaboration reflects SUERC’s commitment to advancing high-precision isotope and mass spectrometry research through early access to next-generation instrumentation, joint method development, and shared scientific expertise.
SUERC and National Electrostatics Corp
SUERC is a leader in the development and optimisation of accelerator mass spectrometry (AMS) technologies for environmental and Earth science research. Through its collaboration with NEC, SUERC has helped pioneer the Positive Ion Mass Spectrometry (PIMS) system, enabling more efficient radiocarbon analysis via direct CO₂ injection. Alongside PIMS, SUERC operates a range of advanced AMS instruments, continually refining system performance to expand analytical capabilities across multiple isotopes.
SUERC & the British Geological Survey
SUERC and the British Geological Survey (BGS) share a long-standing and close working relationship through the NERC-funded Facilities, now known as the National Environmental Isotope Facility (NEIF). This strategic partnership brings together SUERC’s world-class expertise in isotope geochemistry and geochronology.
