I have the primary role as Manager of the SUERC Radiocarbon Laboratory.

Personal research interests are new avenues of method development for the laboratory to advance existing methodologies for 14C capabilities.

Current Projects:

  • Forensic applications of 14C.
  • Method development and modification of 14C techniques.
  • Development of 14C laboratory QA procedures.
  • New stepped combustion method for the dating of archaeological tooth enamel.
  • Analytical problems associated with the measurement of bone F14C background values at SUERC.
  • Compilation of a whisky bomb curve from known age samples to aid identification of year of production of malt whisky.
